An interface is a point of interaction with a program or computer hardware or peripheral devices. such as a monitor or keyboard. A standard interface such as SCSI allows users and manufacturers great flexibility in implementing computer systems.

Fiber optic end termination enabling faster connection and disconnection than splicing. The connectors connect automatically and arrange the fiber cores so that light can pass through them. Better connectors lose little light due to optical fiber reflection. In total, about 100 types of optical fibers were produced.
