A single-mode patch cord, 1 meter long, with a cable diameter of 3 mm, terminated with LC/UPC-LC/UPC connectors, is used to connect optical network equipment such as switches or converters. Patchcords are also widely used in FTTH networks to connect OLT and ONU/ONT devices.
