Battleship Bismarck
The Bismarck is a German battleship of World War II, which entered service on 24 August 1940. She was the largest ship of the Kriegsmarine, next to her twin Tirpitz. On 28 September 1940, the Bismarck went out on her first voyage. It was sunk on 27 May 1941 during a naval battle.
The model of the ship created by COBI was produced on a scale of 1:300. It consists of 2789 elements and is as long as 86.5 cm. The latest edition of the Bismarck is a ship designed completely from scratch. It contains more than 700 more blocks compared to older editions. It reproduces the proportions of the historic ship as faithfully as possible and retains all its essential elements, including the original camouflage. The ship presents the so-called 'Baltic paint scheme', a camouflage including black and white stripes and red tops of artillery turrets. Such a colour scheme was used during training in the Baltic. Numerous blocks contain high-quality, wear-resistant prints! The model has numerous moving parts such as propellers, rudders, rotating turrets and gun barrels that can be raised and lowered. The set also includes a black block display stand with a plaque on which the name of the ship is printed. The model is huge, has great display value and is particularly recommended for history enthusiasts, mariners and collectors. It does not need to be glued together or painted, as its entire body and all elements consist of COBI building blocks.
